Long before any of the oral therapy treatment options came along to deal with the throes of impotency, there were other painful alternatives. Men could choose to get a set of injections (intercavernous injection therapy) which quite often failed to work, and or they could use a penile suppository (intraurethral therapy). Thankfully in the late 1990’s Viagra was approved by the FDA, followed a few years later by Levitra, and then more recently Cialis. The difference between all of these treatment options is the length of time that they last in the system. Viagra and Levitra last the shortest, between 3-6 hours, while Cialis lasts the longest, 24-36 hours.
You should only take Cialis as directed by your doctor, as everybody has a unique medical situation. Cialis comes in several strengths and dosage levels, and your doctor will be able to decide which one is best suited for your needs. Cialis is an oral therapy treatment option for ED and is taken by mouth 30-60 minutes prior to any intended sexual activity. This drug is only intended to be taken once every few days, as it lasts up to 36-hours in the system.
Cialis (tadalafil) works by disabling the PDE5 enzyme in the blood (which regulates and controls the blood flow to the penis). In most cases impotency is caused by an abundance of this enzyme. When the PDE5 enzyme is disabled, the arteries in the penis relax and allow for normal blood flow. Upon sexual stimulation or arousal, the blood is able to freely flow into the penis and fill it up, resulting in a long-lasting erection.
There are some common side effects that you might experience when taking Cialis. These include: mild headache, runny or stuffy nose, facial flushing (redness) or blurry vision. There are some more serious side effects that can rarely occur: a prolonged erection lasting longer than four hours – which requires immediate treatment to avoid injury. In very rare instances, temporary or sudden loss of the vision and or hearing occurred which may or may not have been attributed to the drugs – stop taking Cialis and seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of these rare yet serious side effects!
Cialis will work for most people but it may not be for everybody. Always ask your doctor if Cialis is right for you. Some people will not be able to take Cialis. Those suffering from Heart Disease, uncontrolled blood pressure, prostate cancer or diabetes may not be able to take Cialis. Also, those deemed unhealthy enough for sexual activity may not be able to take Cialis.
Cialis has minimal interaction with most medications, but there are some medications that it can have serious interactions with. Those taking any medications containing Nitrates or alpha-blockers may not be able to take Cialis due to a dangerous drug interaction that can occur. Always make sure to consult with your physician and be sure to tell them about EVERY drug you are taking, even if it is an over-the-counter medication.
You may have already seen ads for generic Cialis on the internet but beware! There is no such thing as generic Cialis. These are unsafe, untested, and non-FDA approved, illegal counterfeit versions of Cialis. Not only are they illegal to order, they may have dangerous and potentially life-threatening effects. You can protect yourself by only ordering Cialis form a certified, online pharmacy that has U.S. licensed doctors such as PremiumDrugs.com.
Medical Notice - Do not take Cialis, Levitra or Viagra within 24 hours of each other
